Introduction :
Social justice and equality are among the fundamental principles of the European Union (EU) ;
yet the Roma, Europe’s largest minority, continue to face widespread structural discrimination
across a variety of fields, including employment, education, health-care and housing.
As a result of these barriers the Roma are trapped in a vicious cycle of poverty and marginalization.
